This release captures a fascinating, often overlooked chapter in the history of The Doors.

Recorded on July 21, 1972, at the Aragon Ballroom in Chicago, Illinois, this performance took place roughly a year after Jim Morrison’s passing. At this stage, the remaining trio—Ray Manzarek, Robby Krieger, and John Densmore—were touring as a three-piece (supplemented by live session musicians) following the release of their post-Morrison albums, Other Voices and Full Circle.

The 2016 release is a remastered version of the original FM radio broadcast (originally aired on Chicago's WGLD-FM), making it a highly sought-after artifact for completionists.
