Born and raised in Wiltshire, Dani grew up listening to her father's collection of blues and soul records and started playing acoustic guitar at an early age. Latterly she turned to electric guitar, inspired by Buddy Guy. She got her first break in her teens accompanying British folk legend Maddie Prior before settling in Brighton in 2003 to take a three year music degree at the Brighton Institute of Modern Music. While there she began to make an increasingly strong impact in local music venues and then further afield.

Crawling Blue is a blues band from the Faroe Islands playing own material inspiered by the rough Faroese climate and of curse old school blues. The musicians are known in many different venues, and are regulars on the music scene in the Faroes and abroade. The band was formed in 2007, and has played on many scenes in the Faroe Islands, Danmark and Shetland and also in national Tv and Radio.

Guitarists Rob Bruce and Kevin Gale, vocalists Dave Mercel and Nick Walsh, bassist Pat Howarth and drummer Neil Busby founded Slik Toxik in 1988 in Toronto. Thanks to the band's demo tape, Capitol/EMI signed them and released Doin' the Nasty in 1992.
